Astra is developed around people’s lives to make it suitable for various occasions, even very different from each other. Its features are designed with a very specific purpose: to amplify the lifestyle of those who get on the saddle, whatever their definition of cyclist.
Some bikes can be customized, Astra was created to be one.
Changing in the dark. The kit fits like a second skin. Shivering in the cold air, my headlight cuts the asphalt. Mile after mile, the fatigue clears my mind. Consistency and dedication.
The race is in two weeks. The prize? A cheap medal and a basket of local food. But to a racer, every challenge is life or death. So I ride in the rain, ignoring the cozy couch, pushing my limits until my legs give out.
Because riding makes me feel alive.
The moment to be myself with those who share my passion. Wind whistling in my ears, muscles tense, eyes locked on the road. My friends ride beside me like a colorful flock of birds skimming the ground.
Every weekend brings a new place to explore, crossing towns, villages, and parks to discover local sights and flavors. I wanted a bike built for this, yet comfortable and practical for the city.
Beautiful, handcrafted in Italy.
Because riding makes me feel like myself, and it is a matter of style.
An urban nomad always on the move to explore and get lost. My bike is an extension of myself, built to handle anything from a cross-Europe trip to rough, punishing roads.
When I need inspiration, I pedal out of the city and into nature until fatigue clears my mind. A quick stop at a car wash rinses off the mud, leaving us just presentable enough for a glass of wine and cicheti in the city center before heading home.
I ride because it makes me feel free.
Astra maintains its vocation for road cycling, but careful attention to detail has made it less twitchy and more comfortable. Light without pushing the carbon frame to extremes, coming in at around 980 g, it adopts Basso’s high-profile technological solutions.
The 35 mm tire clearance allows you to mount wider tires and venture beyond the tarmac onto light dirt roads.
Astra’s geometry is the most Basso of all, derived from the steel models. A platform improved year after year, preserving the racing DNA but making it transversal and able to adapt to those who are not an athlete who ride bikes every day. An evergreen consistent with its past, but capable of perfecting itself from model to model becoming more versatile.

Astra offers two in-house cockpit options: the Microtech Strato stem and All Road handlebar for the Shimano 105 Di2 build, and the Levita Integrated Carbon handlebar as standard for the Shimano Ultegra Di2 setup.

A totally hidden fixing solution that is invisible on the frame, intertwining technological and aesthetic innovation.
The result is a lightweight, invisible and strong integrated system with three screws, which has been further implemented through the vulcanization of the steel plank. This Basso solution gives the 3B system an anti-vibration function, which improves the riding experience by elevating comfort on uneven and bumpy surfaces.
